A Small Kitchen
Columbia City, Seattle, WA
Summer 2007
A growing family deeply values the spirit and character of their century-old home. But the space is cramped in the kitchen, the sink is at the end of hall and friends have nowhere to stand. We work with the existing odd shape and small size of the kitchen. We insert utilitarian and contemporary elements were inserted in the old world architecture. This kitchen remodel earns Batt + Lear the 2008 Natural Home Magazine Kitchen of the Year Award.
